📣 Calling All PTA Superstars! 🌟

We need your help to make our upcoming Red Ribbon Week, October 27-31, amazing! We’ve got some volunteer slots that are short and sweet—just an hour or two of your time can make a big difference.

🗓️ Friday Afternoon: Help us with setup—this won’t take more than an hour.
🗓️ Tuesday Morning: We could use a hand for about an hour as well.
🗓️ Tuesday & Wednesday Lunchtime: If you’re free for around two hours, we’d love your support!
🏡 At-Home Opportunities: Can’t make it in person? We have tasks you can do from home too!

🌟 Calling all families! Join us on October 11th from 9 AM to 1 PM at The Annex (55 East, 350 North, North Salt Lake) for our Layers of Love event! We’re giving away free new and gently used coats, along with new socks and underwear. 🧥🧦👖
🎉 Well-behaved children are welcome. No Wagons. Our goal is to ensure every school-aged child leaves with new socks and underwear. ❤️

Tomorrow is our PTA Walk to School Day! Put on your walking shoes and we will see you in the morning. Thank you to our PTA and Police force for their support of this event!

Volunteers requested and mark your calendar. Our Vision screening will be happening on October 10th. If your child wears contacts or glasses, please make sure they wear them this day. We are also in need of volunteers to help with this event. Please contact a member of the PTA or Holly at the office if you are able to help with this.

Hello Winter Break!! Our School will be closed from December 24 through January 3 for the holiday break. Please note: Monday, January 6, will be a Professional Development Day for staff, so there will be no school for students. We wish everyone a peaceful and enjoyable holiday season and look forward to seeing you in 2025. #WXWolverineStrong

Hello Parents! We are all very excited for our upcoming holiday break (last day is 12/20 and we return on 1/6!) and we're hoping to finish the year strong with our attendance. November and December are notoriously difficult months as we have the holidays and lots of students missing school. Please help and encourage your students to attend the rest of this week- it's a fun week to be at school. We have spirit dress- up days this week, as well as the attendance party at the end of the day today (your students' teacher should have let them know if they are invited to attend) and the school sing-along on Friday! This month, our school attendance average was 93.6%, with our year-to-date average at 94.9%. Our goal for this year is aggressive at 96% of students attending daily and we hope to be able to achieve it! Thank you for all you are doing to help your students be successful. We appreciate you.

Our Community Council meeting has been rescheduled to next Tuesday, November 26th. at 4:00 pm. We would LOVE to have more community parents on our board. Come take the opportunity to help make decisions. Please join us.

Hello Woods Cross parents! This month has been fun at Woods Cross Elementary! 7 more classes have had the chance to have classroom attendance parties and we also had our big school-wide attendance party for those with exceptional attendance on October 23rd. We had snacks, and got out our disco ball and party lights. We had a great time! For the month, we ended up with 94.4% average daily attendance (with 95.7% last month and 95.8% the previous month). Our school goal is 96% or better average attendance. We appreciate all you do to get your kids to school every day. We want them to be happy and be successful at school, and consistent attendance is a key factor. What you can do: Start with talking about the importance of showing up to school every day. Help your child maintain daily nighttime and morning time routines, finish homework and get a good night's sleep. #WXWolverineStrong
